For anyone interested in the history of Majorca, it is worth a visit to the Archaeological Museum and Research Centre in Deia.

Set in a converted mill in the centre of Deia town, the centre has been established for fifty years and has a good collection of archaeological artefacts. The mill building itself is said to be one of the oldest in Deia.

The centre was founded in 1962 by a noteworthy American archaeologist called Dr William H Waldren.
